In this Brooklyn townhouse the challenge was to combine sophisticated, mature items with a touch of contemporary design through splashes of color and art. The classical: marble countertop, herringbone hardwood floor and chiseled crown moldings are a solid structure for the playful teardrop pendants, abstract painting and coral dining chairs.

The retired couple of this space wanted to create a mature, elegant yet modern home where they can enjoy their golden years. They always appreciated classic designs, but they also desired to incorporate modern elements that would make their home feel current and fresh. They envisioned a space that is sophisticated and elegant, but not stuffy or outdated. The open, airy floor plan allows for plenty of natural light and flow between areas. We picked high-quality materials and finishes, such as hardwood floors, marble countertops, and custom cabinetry.

In terms of color scheme, they wanted to keep things neutral with shades of gray, beige, and white, but they also want to add pops of color through accent pieces and artwork. The result is a home that reflects their refined tastes and provides a welcoming environment for their loved ones.
